Hello Isi, how are you doing! First of all, we thank you for being part of the Patience Fins family!

So that our audience knows you a little better , could you tell us about yourself?

A: Hello! I am 33 years old, I am from Santiago, a graphic designer by profession. I love the simple, quiet life. I have lived on the beach for years and I love traveling and surfing.

How did you become a surfer and why longboard?

A: I always wanted to, but it wasn't until a trip I took to Bali in 2016, where I planned to stay for a few days but finally I stayed 3 months dedicated to surfing and studying yoga. The longboard culture is super strong there, and for me it was obvious to follow that style.

What are your inspirations in surfing?

A: The simple fact of being in the sea inspires me, that fascinates me.

What things do you consider part of you beyond surfing?

A: Art, yoga, wellness, simple living and always being in nature.

Have we heard that you also like art? What can you tell us about that?

A: Yes! I love creating for the simple fact of creating. I also use it as a digital work tool, allowing me to travel and work.

How would you define your way of living surfing and your experience in the sea?

A: I feel the sea as medicine, so I experience surfing from there, from a place of healing, self-improvement and gratitude. Always grateful for every learning that the sea gives me and the people it has brought into my life.

Who are your favorite surfers today? The most interesting?

A: I'm a fan of longboarders with bold style, that's why Kelia Moniz has always been my favorite.

What future do you see for national surfing and especially for longboarding?

A: A beautiful future is unfolding and there is still a lot of work to do. I love seeing how it is filled with children in the sea surfing their first waves. And I feel that longboarding is taking shape and strength, which inspires more people to try it.

There are more and more women who dare to surf. ¿Why the change?

A: Beautiful! I think we are daring more because we see that the other could, so that inspires that I can too and in the future even inspire more women and people.

We have seen that you travel a lot. How do you choose your destination?

A: Yes, I love surfing in a bikini so I always have a couple of upcoming waves in mind that I would love to check out. And “The Longboard Travel Guide” helps me a lot to know where to go.

In your opinion, what is the best country to surf?

A: Difficult question, I think each country and each wave has its own thing. Of the countries I know, I love the Mexican Pacific for its surf culture and its perfect wave for each style.

What are you looking for in the longboard, the classic or a mix?

A: I love the classic style, 100%.

In longboard terms, how do you choose your fin?

A: I like a good sized fin with a wide base, so that it gives me stability and grip when walking.

What would you like to contribute to Patience Fins in the coming years?

A: I love how they are committed to surf culture, so being part of this growth and contributing some art I would love too.

Would you dare to give us honest feedback about the Patience Fins material and its brand identity?

A: Sure.. I LOVE THEM!!! I love my keel above all things, it is pure quality. I love the brand because it is super human, you can see the true commitment it has to the sea and the desire to do things as best as possible.

Why did you choose the AZIMUT fin? And could you give us your opinion about the keel?

A: I was attracted by the shape of the keel, that it has a wide base and good height. I love it because it gives me a lot of stability when walking, but without compromising the ease of the board.

What actions do you think every surfer can carry out in their daily lives that contribute to keeping our oceans and beaches free of plastics?

A: I think the simplest and most obvious thing is to pick up trash, that always helps. And be conscious with our waste from the minute we are wanting to acquire something.

What are your next creative projects, as a surfer and on a personal level?

A: As a surfer, being able to feel confident surfing the waves of Chile. Matanzas is a difficult wave and it challenges me a lot to stay in shape.

On a personal level, I am developing a small collection of clothing and stationery with designs that I have developed over the last few years.

Where do you want to see yourself in 10 years?

A: Surfing, on some magical beach!
